Liebster Award

So I've very sweetly been nominated for the Liebster Award By Lauren Marshall and Ema Biel, I'd like to thank them both so much for nominating and definitely go checkout their blogs, I could spend hours browsing through their posts. This award is designed to help low-key bloggers get noticed and out there! You tag eleven blogs with under two hundred followers that you believe deserve recognition! I was shocked when I found out id been nominated for this award as Ive only been blogging for two weeks; However I'm so glad I've been tagged in this and I hope you enjoy reading!

There are four simple rules!

1. Thank & link the person who nominated you.
2. Answer the nominators 11 questions.
3. Nominate 11 small blogs with fewer than 200 followers who you believe
deserve this award and include their links.
4. Create 11 new questions for your nominees to answer. Notify those nominees via social
media/blogs.

As Ive been nominated by two lovely bloggers I'm going to choose questions from each!

1. Why did you start blogging?

Id always wanted to start my own blog however I neither had the time or equipment to. I finally decided to create my blog a few weeks ago and started by using my iPhone for photos, which didn't come out too badly! It just goes to show you don't need fancy equipment to start a blog. I created mine using my Toshiba Laptop and iPhone for photography, It's more about Content! Enough of that ramble! The main reason I started a blog was because I love to share my opinion of many things and give an insight into my life!

2. Summer Or Winter?

I used to absolutely love winter, however now that spring weather is creeping up on us I'm beginning to fall in love with summer weather. I'd say I prefer summer for the weather and Winter for the clothing!

3.What Is your Favourite Store?

This is an absolute no brainer for me. I absolutely love Zara, I'm sure that 80% of my wardrobe is from there now, their clothing is such good quality.

4. Favourite Food?

My Favourite food would most likely have to be sweet potato's or berries. I know thats cheating by saying two, but I can't choose one! After recently deciding to return to a vegan lifestyle fruit and veg has become my best friend so it'd definitely have to be sweet potato or berries!

5.What Is Your Dream Job?

My Dream Job would be to work in the digital marketing industry. I'm obsessed with social media so using that to my advantage would be my Ideal job!

6. What Are You Afraid Of?

Heights, Spiders , Living a forgettable life.

7. What Is The Most Valuable Lesson You've Learnt In Life?

Have a positive attitude to everything you can in life and make the most of It, because you never know how quickly situations can change.

8. What Is Your Favourite Quote And Why?

' If you can dream it, then you can do it' Walt Disney

I find this quote so inspirational, too many people feel as though their dreams and goals are out of their reach and forget that all good things take time, I find this quote so motivational.

9.Who Is your Favourite Blogger?

My favourite blogger has to be Sammi Maria or as she's well known The Beauty Crush. I spend hours browsing through her blog and love watching her youtube channel. I find it inspirational how persistent and determined she's been with her blog and how far she's come. Ive been watching her YouTube videos for years now so its been interesting watching her amount of viewers increase so dramatically!

10. What Is Your Pet Peeve?

Okay, I know I myself a guilty of this, but i cannot stand snoring, Its not that I'm turned off by it or anything I just find the sound so irritating! And on a similar note, people chewing with their mouths open , it drives me nuts.

11.What Makes You Happy?

Spending time with the positive people In my life and making the most of every day.

My 11 Questions For Those Tagged!

1.Why Do You Enjoy Blogging?

Lazy Sundays

We all love a lazy Sunday, So i thought I'd give you all an insight as to how I spend mine.  As most others I begin my day by aimlessly browsing other Blogs and YouTube channels whilst listening to music. I tend to spend hours doing this without even realising! To  go along with this super productive activity, lemon water is a must! Not only is it healthy but its so yummy. I simply cut two lemon slices and add hot water, not too difficult!

After browsing for a few hours I tend to feel guilty so I usually do something productive like tidy my room or write my to do list. Today I opted for the to do list as I've been lacking in blog posts recently so I thought I should organise my week a little bit so I can actually get round to blogging more! One major thing I struggle with is ideas for blog posts, so taking the time to sit down and plan them makes life a lot easier.

Once I've finished creating my endless to do list I usually choose Sunday as the day to use my Frizz-ease keratin 3 day straight spray. I feel for this its best to choose a day that you can relax and not have to worry about time consumption as it can be a lengthy process depending on your hair type. I've been loving this spray recently as it keeps my hair straight for 3 days as It claims unlike many other products, however I'll save that opinion for another blog post!

Yes i know that people say its a lazy sunday and you shouldn't wear makeup, however I live on social media; So having a somewhat presentable face is important for me with all this imporatant snapchats of course. When it comes to lazy days I really don't bother wearing a lot of makeup as the only events that occur are walking to the shops or going to the gym, which means wearing no makeup. I mainly use Foundation, concealer , brow products and mascara just to make sure I'm looking at least slightly alive!

And once this has all been completed I usually just slob out in bed on my laptop browsing more blogs and cooking food! So there we go! It's not the most interesting of days but thats how I myself personally like to spend my Sundays! I hope you enjoy reading!

March Favourites!

I know I haven't posted very regularly recently however, I've had such a hectic week! I'm also aware that my March favourites is a little bit on the late side, Better late than never!

So for my beauty favourites it's been quite a skin revolved month! I feel that primer, foundation and concealer are three of the most important products used on your face, Depending on how long you wish your makeup to last and if you have dark circles etc. My current favourite foundation is the Bourjois Healthy Mix Foundation; After hearing multiple positive reviews about this product I decided to give it a whirl. I was pleasantly surprised with the finish as i usually prefer a matte finish, whereas this foundation leaves a dewey natural finish which I loved, It blends so easily and is very long lasting.

Personally myself I can't say if the foundation lasts well without primer as I use primer every day. Whilst on the topic my favourite primer this month has been the Bourjois Happy Light Serum. one thing that i usually despise about primers is the horrible oily feeling left on your face once used. However this primer completely shocked me, within ten seconds of applying this primer my skin had absorbed it and i could apply foundation, It gives your skin a subtle glow which is perfect for spring/summer!

Whilst browsing through Amelia Liana's videos I came across her drugstore flawless foundation tutorial, In this she highly recommended the L'oreal Magic touch concealer. Whilst shopping I attempted to find this however I mistakenly picked up the incorrect concealer. Which I can now see was a 'good mistake' moment as i've now fallen in love with the L'oreal True Match Concealer, this concealer gives such a good coverage which I've been desperately searching for, could not recommend any product more highly!

Then for Lipstick my current favourite has been The maybelline colour sensation Lipstick in Stellar Pink, I also mentioned this in my blog post 'spending spree' and for such a cheap price I can't complain at all. Finally Is my Bobbi Brown Face Brush, this brush has been favourite of mine for months now however has never been given the credit for some of the wonders it can do when it comes to applying my foundation evenly. The brush is a little bit on the pricey side however I definitely feel as If its worth it.

And Lastly, Yes i know its not a beauty purchase!, is my MacBook. I could not be more in love with any other purchase, I'd been pining after a macbook for months so I finally decided to treat myself and purchase the MacBook air. It's very simple to figure out and such a high quality laptop, I've used mine for blogging so far and it's done a fantastic job!

All Beauty Products Are available from Superdrug

MacBook is available for purchase from John Lewis

when in london

                                                              Zara Nude Loafers - £25.99
                                                    Forever 21 Open Toe Boots - £25.00
Bershka Nude Pink Handbag - £22.99

So, whilst in London I managed to pick up a few things! Obviously a trip to Forever 21 was needed, I came across these open toed black boots and absolutely loved them. I was surprised to find that they were comfortable, which is unusual for a pair of boots! And for the price of £25.00 I personally couldn't bring myself to leave the store without them, they were an absolute bargain and will go with near enough anything!

Whilst I couldn't take my mind of the topic of shoes I found these gorgeous nude loafers in Zara. I'd been searching for these everywhere and had just about given up on finding them in my size, Until luckily i came across them in Westfield. The Camera really does not give these loafers justice, they're a gorgeous nude pink reptile print and are incredibly comfortable; Considering purchasing flat shoes is a very rare thing for me , I couldn't be happier with this purchase and I'm sure they're going to be worn to death.

Of course once new shoes have been purchased, as all girls know, having a bag to match is a necessity, I opted for this structured pale pink basic shopper bag from Bershka. This bag is so spacious and is perfect for those days where I need to take a lot of things out and about with me and compared to many other handbags this was relatively cheap. Overall  I can say I'm definitely happy with these purchases!

Classy Casual

Sorry for the lack of images with this post, I was just adjusting to using my Cannon 700D and I'm still getting to grips with it! So this is one of my outfits purchased from yesterdays shopping trip. As soon as I saw this pair of straight legged trouers from Topshop I fell in love. They're so comfortable and can be dressed up or down. They're was quite a range of colours, but I chose to go with the navy pair as these seemed to be the easiest to style and to be honest I don't ever really go out of my comfort zone when it comes to colourful clothing! These beauties cost me £40, however they're such good quality and such a nice fit that they were definitely worth it!

I decided to pair them with this textured blue and white patterned top from zara. This caught my eye as soon as I saw it and I instantly thought it would be perfect for spring. This top can either be dressed up as I have with this outfit, or dressed down by pairing it with jeans and a flat pair of boots. This look would be perfect for an evening meal or even going out for drinks! I paired the outfit with a suede black pair of heels from boohoo, and a black envelope clutch which I cant remember where its from, sorry! Thanks for reading!

How Much Does My Face Cost?!

I was very hesitant to writing this blog post, the main reason being is I think knowing how much my daily makeup costs me scares me! Its shocking how many products we wear every day and also how much we spend on them! However I Finally braved it and totalled up my daily cost for my face. So this is how much my face is worth!

                                                          Simple face toner - £3.29
Simple kind to skin moisturiser - £2.19
                                                        simple face wipes - £2.16
Rimmel Stay Matte Primer - £5.99
Mac Studio Fix Fluid - £21.50
                                                   Collection 2000 concealer - £4.19
Yves Saint Laurent Touche Éclat Complexion Highlighter - £25.00
Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk Powder - £33.00
Revolution Vivid Baked Bronzer -  £4.00
Bourjois Liner Absolute Clubbing - £6.99
                                                  Rimmel Wonderfull Mascara - £7.99

                                                     B Cosmetics Brow Gel - £15.50
Yve Saint Laurent Rouge Pur Couture Lipstick - £26.00

                                                                     £192.80

I know its going to sound bad, But I'm actually quite happy with that price! I've come across so many bloggers that spend over £400 on their daily face, So I'm personally okay with £192.80. However I'm sure after my upcoming shopping trip to London it will be costing a lot more! Thankyou for reading!

Change Of Comfort

Nike Air Max Thea White - Office

As much as I adore my boots, heels and court shoes, every girl needs a comfortable, fashionable pair of trainers. I've opted for a white pair of 'Nike Thea Air Max'. I chose this pair as they're very comfortable but they're also incredibly easy to style, especially in white.

The white Air Max Thea go with near enough any outfit, I myself personally style them with ripped jeans and a shirt creating a casual look. The fit of the trainer is very snug, And unlike my other shoes and boots, they don't leave my feet feeling sore and worn out. I purchased mine from office for £85.00 which I feel is a justifiable price for footwear that will last me long and  I will wear to death.
I love these as they're easy to pair with any outfit as most of my outfits tend to be black or grey.
As we're all aware keeping pristine white trainers white is never successful, However my attempts to keep them pristine so far are going well. These are definitely a staple piece in my wardrobe and are perfect for casual outfits.

Yve Saint Laurent Deep Berry Lip

Throughout the past four months, my attempts to find a perfect berry lip colour had failed miserably, However, whilst browsing amongst the many makeup counters within John Lewis I came across Yves Saint Laurent 'Rouge Pur Couture'.

The deep plum instantly caught my attention as I glanced at the counter. This Lip colour is a buildable, Long-lasting, Semi-Matte lipstick. Although difficult to apply it is most definitely worth the time and effort once the end result has been accomplished. Whilst applying this lip colour I usually line and fil in my lips using a lip brush, and then used the lipstick straight from the bulllet for a more intense Look.vWhether you're looking for a bold and vibrant look, or even a sheer and subtle hint of colour this lipstick Is perfect. I find that the deep shade compliments my pale skin, However it would also compliment any other skin tone well, especially paired with a a bold smoky eye. This product is perfect for a sultry evening makeup look .

The price of £25.00 most definitely reflects the quality of this product. This lipstick is now a necessity within my makeup collection and will remain to be for years to come.

How I Clean My Makeup Brushes

One thing we all avoid is cleaning our makeup brushes, every girl is guilty of this. Not cleaning your makeup brushes is not only damaging for the brushes, but also on your skin. Our makeup brushes harbour oil, dirt and millions of disgusting bacteria which can damage the fibres of the brush but also tend to cause breakouts. I opt for a method that makes cleaning my makeup brushes straightforward and simple, and is also inexpensive.

All that's needed is washing up liquid ( Any of your preference) and olive oil. mix the two in a bowl and add a splash of water. Take your brushes individually and dip them into the soulution, then, using the palm of your hand, swirl the brushes into your palm; This will deeply cleanse the brush. Once you've cleansed all the brushes with the solution wash them individually. When washing them run them under a cold tap and swirl them in your palm once again, to ensure all of the solution and dirt is removed from your brush squeeze from the neck to the tip of the brush, do this until the liquid runs clear. Once both of these steps have been completed lay your brushes flat on a paper towel and leave to air dry. Once they have been left over night they should feel super soft and clean. Then all that's left to do Is store them how you regularly do!

I find this method cleans my brushes thoroughly and leaves a pleasant scent (depending on your choice of washing up liquid). I hope you found this helpful!
